Role Summary: As part of X-ray Generation Engineering team, you will be responsible for design of innovative & cost-effective products in Medical Imaging Sub-System. This role requires expertise in the field Power electronics applications, Electrical system design principle, Analog/control systems knowledge & Candidate shall have an innovative mind-set for new product designs, existing problem resolutions & technical improvement of existing products. Essential Responsibilities: Duties include (but are not limited to): Designing new products and/or supporting Installed Base of electrical/Electronics/Power-electronics (AC-DC, DC-DC, Resonant converter, Amplifier, Motor control etc.) components & subsystems using Engineering best practices & principles. Work closely with product/systems team/technical leadership to understand product/Task requirements (technical deliverables) and ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the requirement. Conduct necessary design analysis of electrical systems, perform necessary simulations (P-SPICE, MATLAB, LTSPICE or other tools as applicable) to reduce iterations. Develop test cases, methodologies, tools, measurement systems required for testing and integrating different subsystem for larger system Execute design/changes as per engineering standards & Regulations (safety & Regulatory standards, PCB standards, EMI/EMC etc.) Leading development of new processes in the areas of PCB manufacturing, electrical system assemblies, ESD sensitive component assemblies and any other knowledge on manufacturing is an added advantage. Work as a part of a team including cross functional team members & suppliers to deliver technical solutions Ready to work on different types of projects like Advanced Technology Development (ATD), New Product Introduction (NPI), Design Transfer, Productivity and Reliability projects Seeks mentoring to learn and solve problems Identifying and developing new opportunities to leverage Strategic Sourcing objectives and Common Technology initiatives in the company product line Developing and maintaining X Ray Generation subsystem quality and engineering project funnel Developing good documentation as per QMS standard to achieve required level of verification & validation for product design or changes. Quality Goals: Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Outputs/Program Deliverable Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Electrical/EEE or equivalent form a reputed institute 1 to 5 years of relevant domain experience Strong knowledge Power Electronics design & Control (AC-DC, DC-DC, Resonant converters, Low voltage power supplies, High voltage power supplies etc.) Good skills in Power electronics control system & analog/digital electronics. Knowledge in C/C++ programming, with SDLC is an added advantage. Good knowledge on testing and debugging skill using analytical/problem solving skill Ability to work collaboratively across teams Desired Characteristics: Master’s degree in Power Electronics/Electrical or equivalent form a reputed institute Demonstrate technical leadership capability in integration activities Self-starter, energizing, result oriented, and able to multi-task Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills Ability to meet aggressive cost, manufacturability, performance and delivery targets Effective oral and written communication skills Global project management experience Green Belt/Black Belt Certified About Us: GE (NYSE:GE) drives the world forward by tackling its biggest challenges.
