GAI is seeking a junior or senior year college student enrolled in an ABET Accredited Civil Engineering Program to work in our Northeast Transportation Market Sector Structure Group. This is a summer internship position in Bridgeport, WV. Primary duties include design and detailing of transportation structures including bridges, bridge inspections, sign structures, culverts, and/or retaining walls. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Completion of entry level design and detailing tasks of transportation structures including bridges, sign structures, culverts, and/or retaining walls. Bridge Inspections. Preparation of construction plans and details for transportation structures. Preparation of quantity tabulations. Review of shop drawing submittals. Qualifications: At least 2 years of undergraduate studies completed in Civil Engineering within an ABET college or university program with a focus in structural engineering. Past internship experience in transportation structures design is a plus. Experience with MicroStation CAD Software is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Detail oriented, conscientious, self-motivated. Able to work in a collaborative team environment. Excellent communication skills. Physical Demands and/or Other Job Information (if applicable):
