About the role: Reporting to the Operations Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in executing and optimising planning processes. including multiple of resource allocation, understanding retrospective resource allocation and associated costs. You’ll provide advice and insight into possible impacts of proposed business changes. You’ll ensure the maintenance and optimisation of the operations reporting framework to enable informed decision making and track performance against business goals and stakeholder requirements. All the while, reviewing operational decision making and giving feedback and support for the management team to enhance this. Your key responsibilities will include: Providing recommendations based on the vast array of data at your fingertips Short and medium range redistribution of our assets (people and vessels) to meet our business needs in an ever-changing environment. Maintaining crucial communications with internal stakeholders throughout the day; Ensuring any delays in services are mitigated and managed accordingly; In addition to being the star behind the scenes, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in operational projects to really flex your skills. To be our next superstar, you will need: Experience with accountability for operations and managing major assets A working knowledge of dispatch, coordination and logistics in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal communications skills Calmness under pressure and a confident approach Essential to your success in this role: Workforce planning or operational experience Reporting and analysis in fast paced, multifaceted environment Robust Excel skills including lookup, pivot tables and array formulas Understanding of the attribution of assets Strong numerical understanding and critical thinking Understanding of people management and how that affects rostering and allocation Thrive in big picture thinking while meticulous on the details Self-motivated, illustrating good organisational / time management skills Relevant tertiary qualification desired - but not essential Our Company Values: Welcoming - There’s nothing we love more than being able to call the Hauraki Gulf home.
