We are currently recruiting for a brand new role within the business – the Head of Food & Retail. This individual will be deliver a robust annual retail pricing insights programme and customer facing retail pricing strategy for FEP assets, Concessionaires, third party brands and venue and event clients. Liaise closely with the finance team in delivering & implementing the annual FEP pricing strategy to increase company turnover, profit and margin. As well as drive the successful development of new menu products in line with customer demands and industry trends, whilst supporting the operation to deliver first class customer service and maximising income, profit streams and improve ROI. KEY RESULT AREAS Event and Venue Market Analysis: Be the most well-informed expert on all aspects of retail pricing and product development, identifying trends, changing market conditions and market opportunities. Retail Pricing: Development of a regular and robust reporting programme ensuring we are competitive in the marketplace. Set client pricing expectations by balancing internal requirements with external pricing factors. Develop a brand proposition and pricing strategy to ensure that FEP remains the market leader in the sector. Reporting on all retail pricing. Menu Development: Identify global, event, FMCG and high street product trends and consumer/client requirements to ensure that we are the ‘go to’ market leaders in the events environment. Product and menu modelling including re-engineering of products to deliver a value to premium range which always deliver the required customer quality and incremental profit margin. Product development and delivery which takes into consideration but is not limited to: Packaging, up-selling, product customer description, team training and communication, product positioning, merchandising, portability with hand-held options and technical equipment. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED The role requires exceptional communication skills to ensure excellent service is delivered to internal and external stakeholders at all times. Including the ability to communicate positively and effectively with colleagues, clients and suppliers in a clear, professional and courteous manner which fosters a positive, enthusiastic and collaborative work environment. The individual must have a disciplined approach and the skills to meet deadlines whilst effectively managing projects from their conception through to completion. The ability to take a clear brief and interpret the client and stakeholder requirements. A high level of commercial acumen. Ability to interpret and utilise financial and commercial information. Proven strength and success in project management, business and market analysis, relationship management with an operational background. A minimum of 10 years operational and brand partnership development experience. Good all-round knowledge of the F&B industry, equipment, workflows, patterns, current legislation and trends that face the industry.
