We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our strong organization as the VP of our Human Resources Department, located at our Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, SC. This person is responsible for supervising the HR Department to ensure that all duties are performed according to policy. Job Responsibilities The VP - Human Resources is responsible for coordinating employment, conducting new employee orientations, processing/balancing payrolls, coordinating wellness program, administrating Performance and Compensation Management, maintaining the Human Resource Information System, etc. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality due to the nature of sensitive information processed. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Recruitment and On-boarding: Responsible for all phases of hiring including job postings (Intranet, FFCU website, job boards, and/or other selective recruitment methods), recruiting, interviewing, reference checking, pre-employment drug testing, etc., and making job offers to selected applicants. Ensure that new employee orientation sessions are conducted explaining conditions and terms of benefit plans, policies, Founders’ philosophy, etc., and obtain necessary information and signatures. Also, ensure that exit interviews are conducted for employees. Conduct the proper research, both internally and externally, to provide adequate and updated information necessary for salary administration which includes completing job evaluations, establishing grade levels, and adjusting salary ranges. Oversee the preparation of the annual salary budget, related payroll, and estimated actual. Supervise the implementation of scheduled pay adjustments as needed. Ensure that the monthly, biweekly, and bonus payrolls are properly prepared and processed on schedule. Conduct leadership training for new supervisors and department heads. Administration of all Compensation, Performance Management, and Benefit programs for Founders’ employees. Involves ensuring that all programs (457 plan, 401(k)/Pension, Life, LTD, Section 125, Health & Dental Insurance, etc) are continually revised and updated to provide the best benefits package possible. Also ensure plans comply with state and federal rules and regulations. Complete and maintain annual Human Resource departmental budget. Responsible for utilization and maintenance of Human Resource Information System. Evaluation and administration of HR and Compensation Policies providing guidance regarding the interpretation of these policies as they relate to individuals and to Founders’ objectives. Coordinate employee service award program. Ensure employee functions are conducted timely ie., Fit Founders events such as Lunch and Learns, corporate wide employee challenges, etc., employee recognition events such as retirement celebrations, 25 Year Club Banquet, etc. Maintain HR Procedures. Maintain Benefit Summary to be shared with potential employees as well as existing employees. Prepare IRS Form 5500 for ERISA benefit plans annually. Comply with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA. Employees have legal and regulatory obligations to respect and protect the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality. Responsible for HR information in Employee Self Service and on the Intranet (ie., Announcing staffing changes, updating Benefits, policies, forms, job postings, Spirit Awards). Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements The VP - Human Resources must hold an active professional certification in HR (ie., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP). Additionally, this individual must have a college degree in a related field or 10 years of experience related to the Human Resource function. Additional requirements include: Outstanding written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Demonstrated supervisory skills Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (specifically Word and Excel) Ability to grasp new concepts quickly Mathematical background Organized in order to handle multiple tasks efficiently Benefits As the VP - Human Resources, you will receive a competitive income and comprehensive benefits package.
