Opportunity: Bus driver Schedule: Full time: 14 days on, 7 days off. All Bus driving positions are split shifts AM and PM. Job Location: Syncrude Base plant and Aurora Opportunity Description: Primary Responsibilities: · Ensure the safety of all passengers · Ensure compliance with safety legislation and National Safety Code (NSC) requirements · Follow corporate safety program and maintenance program · Pre/ post trip inspections · Complete daily log/time records as required · Full knowledgeable of company’s safety and maintenance program · Conducts/and documents thorough trip inspections · Immediately report any defect with the equipment · Cleans equipment as required · Works together with the on-site Safety Advisor to ensure compliance with company and client HSE policies Job Requirements: · Minimum age is 25 · Must send a copy of your 5 year clean driver’s abstract with your resume · Must have a reliable mode of transportation to and from the pickup/drop off location in Gregoire · English as a second language testing is required for all employees · No camp provided or housing provided Qualifications: · Valid Class 1 or 2 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract (no exceptions) · Must have OSSA Regional orientation or OSSA BSO or CSO. · A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating a bus or other large commercial vehicles · Syncrude Site experience as a driver is considered an asset · Self-motivated, reliable, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment · Demonstrated history of safety excellence About us: In 2015, two community-minded businesses in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo partnered together to forge Fort McKay Alcor — your local and aboriginal solution for site services and construction projects.
