Forbes Bros has an immediate opening for an energetic, self-motivated Accounts Payable (AP) Administrator in our Edmonton office, for a Temporary Maternity Leave coverage. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for processing a high volume of invoices with accuracy and efficiency. Desired Qualifications: As the successful candidate, you will have: Post-secondary education in Accounting, or related studies, preferred but not required; or equivalent work experience A minimum 2-5 years’ experience processing full cycle accounts payable Purchasing Card (P-Card) experience Strong multi-tasking skills, ability to prioritize work, and effectively meet deadlines Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Working knowledge of the procurement process Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude Procurement card management would be considered an asset Experience with Viewpoint (VP) software would be considered an asset Responsibilities: The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Full cycle accounts payable Processing monthly expense claims Reconciling vendor statements Following up with internal and external clients on outstanding invoices and responding to invoice inquiries in a timely and professional manner Assisting with filing functions as required Other administrative duties as required What Forbes Bros offers: We offer an attractive compensation package that includes a competitive salary, comprehensive benefit plan and a rewarding pension program.
