As an emerging leader in the LED lighting industry, we are looking for driven, energetic, creative and curious professionals to join our dynamic team. We currently have an opening in our Operations team for a Manufacturing Engineer with skills to develop innovative solutions to cost reduce production processes and parts as well as support the ME team automatizing manufacturing processes. As a Manufacturing Engineer in this rapidly growing business, you will work closely with departments and vendors to improve the Manufacturing Processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Manufacturing Engineering, Process Control, Designing, Automation and Lean Manufacturing. DUTIES: - Develop innovative manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layout for assembly and material handling - Conduct projects automating manufacturing processes using robotics (Cobots), PLC and other automation tools - Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout - Investigate alternate vendors and/or processes for fabricating components - Develop and maintain accurate process documentation and work instructions - Design, specify and commission tools, jigs, fixtures and tests - Lead improvement projects following defined problem-solving checklist including problem YOU BRING: - 2+ years’ experience working in an automation/manufacturing environment - Technical diploma or degree in electrical or mechanical discipline - Experience with Robotics and Automation is an asset - Proficiency in Solidworks - Experience operating woodworking and metalworking tools and CNC milling machines is beneficial - Experience in a construction-oriented high-volume industry is beneficial - Desire to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment - Lean manufacturing knowledge an asset DEMOSTRATED SKILLS: - Fast learner with strong attention to detail and exceptional accuracy - Takes initiative, delivers consistent effort, intense commitment, and demonstrates a willingness to go above and beyond when needed - Enjoys hand-on projects building mechanical systems - Strong team player while able to function independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities delivering results with high standards - Experience in the electro-mechanical industry an asset WHAT WE OFFER: - An opportunity to make your mark in a well-established but growing company - Competitive Salary and benefits program - Generous RRSP matching program, extended health care and excellent vacation package - Friendly and flexible work environment in a growing organization Part of the Lumenpulse Group, Fluxwerx is proudly Canadian owned with local design, engineering and manufacturing in the Vancouver area.
