To support our ambitious growth in Iberia, we're looking for a motivated and driven Junior Accountant Spain & Portugal (m/f/d) who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success. This position will be based in Lisbon. Your Tasks – Paint the world green ---------------------------------------- You are responsible for all accounting activities (journal entry checking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, etc. in relation with our external accountant You ensure timely closure of financial reporting and preparation of information and documentation for internal and external reporting (incl. annual statutory statements under IFRS and regulatory reporting) You help in preparing, executing and reviewing the monthly group reporting (Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow) together with supporting reports, schedules, and account reconciliations You stabilize accounting processes following migration to an Oracle environment You report and consolidate in BFC (financial statements, Cash Flow, AR, AP, Capex, and other flow schedules) You will be responsible for all ledger bookings, journal entries, and their accuracy You bring fresh ideas on how to improve the financial processes and all administrative and operative daily activities in an environment of continuous and strong development You take part in the implementation of an ERP at FlixBus You participate in the preparation of the business plan, the budgeting and planning of the cash flow You have an accounting-oriented profile but are willing to develop a controlling perspective Your Profile – Ready to hop on board ------------------------------------------ Excellent Bachelor/Master's degree, or similar, in Finance, Economics or a related field of study 1+ year experience of relevant experience in accounting and reporting is desired IFRS and Oracle knowledge is a plus Strong affiliation with numbers and analytical skills Hands-on attitude and preferably experience in a start-up environment Flexible, responsible and results-driven A native level Spanish speaker and fluent in English, Portuguese is considered a strong plus Our Perks – More than just a job -------------------------------------- Have an impact.
