The Run-Down: Our Senior Manager, Human Resources is responsible for administering our Compliance, Compensation, Payroll and Benefits initiatives across our company-owned entities. This individual will research, design, and implement strategies and programs that align our business needs and strategic priorities to our employees. This role ensures that we are compliant with all state and federal laws and regulations, will oversee our compliance, compensation and benefits strategy and will oversee payroll. Qualifiers: Provides direct leadership to our Payroll and Benefits Specialist. Ensures timely performance feedback, coaching and professional development. Ensures all company-owned locations are in compliance with federal, state and local laws across our multi-state organization. Manages our company employee handbook and state-specific policies and procedures. Handles benefit renewal process, pricing, and strategy. Assists in the development of strategic total rewards plans, goals, and objectives. Ensures all benefit plans are in compliance with company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements (ERISA, DOL, IRS, ACA, HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, FMLA, etc.). Oversees and administers all Benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plans, and voluntary benefits. Oversees and manages Open Enrollment to include: preparation of open enrollment materials and announcements, coordination, scheduling of meetings, system configuration, system testing and conducting benefit meetings and webinars for over 600 employees. Oversees our HRIS system (ADP), including making sure file feeds are working correctly from the HRIS system to correct vendor; ensures data integrity in HRIS database with daily maintenance of carrier files, resolving data errors, updating data (i.e., new hire record creation, changes, terminations, benefit/leave administration, etc.). Oversees and serves as a formal back up for payroll processing using ADP WorkforceNow. Manages and oversees monthly benefit premium invoices for approval and payment, ensures timely payment to vendors; initiates monthly reconciliation of benefit plan deductions by validating/correcting inaccuracies between HRIS and vendor systems. Ensures legal compliance with HIPPA, ACA, and other applicable benefit laws while completing 5500s, annual 1094/1095 forms, PCORI filings. Oversees leave administration by assisting with the application process, answering employee questions, tracks leave time, sends notices, coordinates return-to-work process, collects benefit premiums, and coordinates payroll and disability pay processing; develops Standard Operating Procedures for leave programs. Oversees COBRA to ensure terminations are processed in a timely manner. Conducts ACA annual measurement process, and annual tax filings and documents (i.e., Form 5500, 1094-C, 1094-B, etc.). Conducts periodic audits of benefit programs, procedures, policies, and workflows to ensure efficiencies and compliance; develops processes that improve department and end-user efficiency and enhance overall benefit process productivity. Assists with developing a compensation policy. Provides oversight and administration of base pay and bonus programs including merit pay, bonus plans, commission, and sales incentive plans. Conducts job evaluations and evaluates new job descriptions/classifications for FLSA implications using market data and internal evaluations. Partners with department leaders, HR Business Partners, and recruiters on compensation-related matters such as offers, promotions, and internal transfers. Conducts annual compensation survey and benchmark analysis, providing company compensation data and matching jobs to appropriate benchmarks, to evaluate equity and competitiveness Provides support for ADP HRIS: researches and resolves HRIS problems and reports unexpected results or process flaws; will also be responsible for supporting the HR reporting function using ADP. About You: 7+ years of experience in HR, specifically in compliance, payroll, benefits, and compensation. You possess expert knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations and can communicate these effectively to our employee base. You have knowledge and understanding of benefit plans and leave management to include ERISA, ACA, IRS, FMLA, and ADAAA qualifications. Your thorough knowledge of employee benefits allows you to work autonomously to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with competing priorities under minimal supervision. You require coaching, not training, on how to do your job. You have a working knowledge of ADP software.
