Position Summary Under the general direction of the Clinical Project Director, Clinical eHealth Initiatives, establishes, integrates and implements innovative models of eHealth and Primary Care education and training initiatives for First Nations communities. Delivers and reports on all eHealth and Primary Care training, education and development programs for First Nations communities and service providers. Provides coaching and mentoring to all health care staff within the organization, First Nations Service organizations and at the community level. Responsibilities Designs, implements education sessions, facilitates the change management of FNHA community clinical information systems to enable new innovative models of care that results in the integration of all First Nations community eHealth/ Primary Care initiatives, as well as across the continuum of care including Regional Health Authority partners Provides education, training and oversight to ensure that all First Nations communities and organizations related healthcare staff are enabled and supported with the technologies, information and training required to deliver safe and effective healthcare programs through eHealth/Primary Care technologies Collaborates with the UBC Learning Circle to identify and coordinate education and training webinars for First Nation communities, FNHA staff, First Nations Health Directors Association and partners on key areas of health and wellness in relation to ehealth Collaborates with senior management teams, healthcare providers, programs, regional directors, community health staff and health directors, and other stakeholders to maintain current and expansion of future eHealth/Primary Care initiatives across all First Nations communities. Assists and supports seamless mapping, matching and integration of services Actively supports and assists the successful development, implementation and mapping and matching of appropriate eHealth/Primary Care needs and technologies (Virtual Care, EMR, Panorama, Identity Management, etc.) in all FNHA communities and their healthcare service delivery models through the delivery and implementation of innovative education models Cultivates opportunities to engage and foster care provider-community relationships with the FNHA and external partners by working with providers, stakeholders and communities to identify service level needs and appropriately map and match services as per the referral patterns in the province. Provides clinical training subject matter expertise at all stages of the initiative life cycle, including, translating clinical requirements, developing training content, facilitating and implementing training programs and contributing to training project planning and training schedules. Develops training content based on evidence based practice, current methods, or as directed by management and individual community needs Works closely with First Nations communities and relevant healthcare teams, providers and programs to develop and support the use of eHealth/Primary Care technologies by providing coaching and mentorship to ensure meaningful use within the practice setting Performs other related duties Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or other related fields, plus 5-7 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Relevant professional development in areas of eHealth, process improvement, change management, and group facilitation Experience Recent, relevant and significant experience working in a healthcare environment (usually acquired over a period of 5-7 years) Recent, relevant and significant experience in acute care planning, delivering, and managing clinical operations and/or clinical systems facilitation (usually acquired over a period of 3-5 years) Experience in project management, strategic planning, and patient and community engagement Experience in existing Regional Authority and First Nation community eHealth processes, workflows, referral patterns, program delivery methods, and IMIT systems and infrastructure Experience developing and implementing community-care and provider based clinical readiness and needs assessments Experience defining appropriate eHealth needs, mapping and matching appropriate services and technologies with community and provider needs Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Knowledge Knowledge of clinical health care practice, education and program planning, development, implementation and evaluation Competencies Awareness - Thorough knowledge of the current First Nations health governance landscape in BC Leadership –Influencing, motivating, and inspiring others through direct and indirect means to accomplish organizational objectives including people and partnership development in a manner consistent with the 7 Directives, Shared Values, and Wellness Operating Principles.
