Make a difference with us by: · Adheres to the Policy on Procurement and Inventory Management and provide recommendations for the development of effective and efficient purchasing, inventory procedures and guidelines. · Assists in preparation of annual procurement plans and programs based on inputs provided by requesting departments. · Coordinates and verifies with end-users the complete specifications of their requirement. · Receives approved Purchase Requisitions (PRs) from different departments and processes the corresponding Purchase Orders (POs) in a timely manner. · Initiates and prepares request for quotations from accredited suppliers. · Analyzes and evaluates quotations received from accredited suppliers. · Negotiates not only for better pricing but total cost of ownership (warranties, economies of scale, etc.) · Issues approved POs/JOs/Contacts to suppliers or contractors. · Monitors delivery status of procured items/services and ensure agreed schedule is followed. · Coordinates with the Warehousing and Admin Team on the delivery dates of items ordered. · Seeks, assesses and recommends potential vendors for possible accreditation. · Collates all necessary documents needed for vendor accreditation evaluation (ERM, QESH, TSD requirements) · Maintains and updates vendor database for the group. · Regularly conducts vendor performance evaluation and gathers feedback from other buyers & proponents. · Prepares reports used for monitoring or as required by management. Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to identify opportunities to reduce overall purchasing costs. Qualification Requirements: Minimum education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil Engineering or Business Related Course Minimum work experience: At least 2-3 years relevant working experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management
