The Health and Safety Manager is recruiting a Health and Safety Advisor to assist their team on a 6 month fixed term basis to support the development, implementation and continual review of a quality health and safety management system in line with legislation, best practice and audit requirements. The main purpose of the post is to provide support to the Health and Safety Manager as well as getting involved in the practical aspects of providing health and safety services to operational teams across the organisation. The successful candidate will support the upskilling of FCHO colleagues in all aspects of health and safety, including the procurement, development and delivery of appropriate training packages and through embedding ‘safety first’ principles in day to day activities. They will carry out a range of audit activities to support teams and to provide assurance to the Health and Safety Manager, Executive Team and Board that health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments are being complied with. They will also offer advice, guidance and support to managers and staff, to ensure the organisation meets its legal obligations and ensure FCHO is a safe and healthy place to work.
