Fantasy Island Resort is Lincolnshire’s largest family theme park attraction and is home to over 30 rides & attractions, live shows and Europe’s largest 7-day market. Set in over 40 acres the business also boasts a choice of two caravan parks and our short stay holiday park which also includes our new specially designed Gold standard luxury lodges. Due to our continued success we are now looking for a Mechanical Engineer. We are looking for a new team member who can demonstrate an enthusiastic, proactive and problem-solving approach to the job. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage expectations efficiently, be flexible, focused, self-motivated and be effective at time management and organisation. About the Role The role will include, but is not limited to: · Carrying out Daily, weekly and monthly inspections of rides and attractions · maintaining and modifying our rides and equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient · Strip down and rebuild of major components/equipment using manufacturers drawings · Manufacturing of parts as required · Ensuring safety documentation is adhered to at all times · Working at Height · Working in Confined Spaces A great opportunity to get into our team here at Fantasy Island; this role includes weekend, bank holiday, evening and morning shifts. Skills and Experience · Minimum NVQ Level 2 Engineering Qualification · Previous Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance · Experience in fault diagnosis · Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team · High standard of safety and cleanliness The following would be an advantage but are not essential: · NVQ Level 3 Engineering Qualification · Previous Experience working within a Theme Park environment · Motors, Welding, Pumps, gears & bearings maintenance experience · Experience using Lathes and Milling Machines · Some Electrical Experience · Climbing Qualification Benefits · A competitive hourly rate · Regular reward and incentive schemes · Employee discounts in some of our onsite establishments · FREE access to the rides and attractions* About You Are you hungry for a new challenge?
