Position Summary: The Security Specialist provides physical security oversight at F5 Networks for facilities globally. This individual will participate in the GWS Department’s Physical Security Program supporting program/procedure development and implementation activities including but not limited to: overseeing global access badge program (Lenel), global physical security, site assessments, oversight of CCTV and video system, basic investigations or stand-bys, support of emergency management procedures and drills, and security training/education. Additionally, this individual performs daily administration functions including key control for the F5 Tower, responding to emergencies, and overseeing the work of an onsite contract security guard. Primary Responsibilities: Physical Security Program Provide security oversight for all facilities and operations globally Serve as security liaison to facility managers and the region’s leadership Ensure practices & polices are met for ISO27001 – Physical Security Policy Recommends and develops security programs, procedures, and processes to be implemented globally. Verify that appropriate measures are in place to provide adequate protection of company assets, personnel, product, and information. Identify significant security risks and potential mitigation measures. Act as the initial escalation for incident response, which may require occasional after-hours and weekend emergency calls. Access Control System Maintains the Enterprise Lenel access control system. Establishes and maintains program processes and practices to ensure the program remains current Provides updates to badge readers and employee access levels Conducts Quarterly Badge & SOXs Audits; Creates Reports; Maintains DataBase Manages badge types; Creates photo badges; Trains GWS staff; Orders supplies Reviews and Investigates the use of card readers as requested by Legal or HR; Provides requested data/reports Processes Service Now tickets for issue resolution, badge replacement & unsupported locations Works with Technology Services to implement global site security projects Manages access control for the garage and gym Physical Security Program - F5 Tower Develops master key program; Implements and electronic key system Oversees the distribution of keys in Seattle Coordinates lock repair and ordering keys with lock vendor in Seattle Make recommendations regarding changes and updates to the locks/keys Responds to onsite specialty TS door alarms Oversees the work and trains a contracted onsite security guard Supports Emergency Management Program, participating in training and drills Responds to onsite security issues and emergencies; Acquires video for investigations Oversees handheld radios Project Management: Badge Readers - Determining hardware locations; Provides equipment needs to TS ExacqVision – Determining hardware locations of cameras Collaborates with TS (Technology Services); Provides equipment needs/scope to TS & GWS Locates and on-boards vendors to work at various sites; Provides Proposal Reviews Acts as a liaison with security vendors on Enterprise projects CCTV Manages the Enterprise ExacqVision video system for all F5 locations globally Ensures Data Privacy Regulatory Compliance: ROPA standards, Signage; Video retention is met Coordinates the installation and repair of cameras with security vendors Determines camera hardware and specifications Monitors cameras for unauthorized activity; Reviews video for audits & investigations; Provide video or photos as requested to Legal or HR Makes updates to the system as needed Qualifications: Diploma, Associate or Bachelor’s degree/specific courses in a related field (Physical Security, Technology Services, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Crisis Management) Military/intelligence/law enforcement/security technology or physical security experience Experience managing security operations Experience with Lenel or other access control systems, such as Milestone or ExacqVision Project Management skills and experience Strong time management and multitasking skills as well as attention to detail required Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to concisely and effectively address questions while providing subject matter expertise on policy to associates and management across diverse sites Proficient in using multiple software applications Knowledge of Workplace Incident Management (workplace violence), Emergency Response, Crisis Management, Resilience methodologies, and Business Continuity practices Excellent grasp of MS Office Suite and programs to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, InfoPath, SharePoint, etc. Willingness to be active in the training, coaching, and development of their team Other related job duties as assigned The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
