Are you an experienced and motivated General Manager looking to work in the growing Retirement Community Sector? The ExtraCare Charitable Trust has an exciting opportunity for an accomplished general manager with exceptional leadership skills to become a Village Manager for our state-of-the-art retirement village in Solihull opening in winter 2020. ExtraCare has been a registered Charity for over 30 years, creating better lives for older people. We are renowned for developing and running large scale (261 apartments at Solihull), mixed tenure, vibrant retirement communities with extensive communal facilities to promote active, healthy lifestyles. What will you do as our Village Manager? Take overall responsibility and accountability for all aspects of life at the Village as a 24/7, 365 day operation, performance and financial management of all facilities and services, regulatory and property compliance, manage relationships with leaseholders and tenants, motivate a multi-disciplined team, maintain the high standards of care, support and hospitality for which we have become renowned, inspire and motivate your team to achieve KPI targets. To be considered for the role of Village Manager you will require the following skills: Exemplary leadership that develops high performing teams through a coaching and collaborative approach; Significant experience of lead responsibility for an operational function in the health and social care, housing, hospitality or leisure sector; Qualifications: QCF Level 5 – Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care (or equivalent); Experience of collaborating and negotiation with a range of key stakeholders such as local authorities; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; A sound understanding of legal, regulatory and contractual requirements for housing and social care and; A strong business approach and commercial acumen and an experienced budget holder.
