About our Centre: Our Williamstown centre is licensed to 178, with 2 floors, underground parking and 4 outdoor areas for the children. It is set in a beautiful area with bus stops and coffee shops nearby. We have started welcoming new families and educators to our service. We bring the children, families, peers and community together as a whole. When we run our 'extras programs' we really bring the whole community together. Our educators really enjoy being a part of these programs and this also gives them the opportunity to learn more about 'Music & Movement', 'Gardening & Sustainability', Creative Arts and Language! We have two lead opportunities across the Babies room and the Pre Kindergarten room. This role will see you having the opportunity to mentor and support your colleagues and continue to grow and develop your skills as a room leader. This is an exciting opportunity as you and your team will be able to create your room from the very beginning and know that you were part of the first team to welcome new families into the centre! You will be expected to: Manage the room Lead the planning and be a first port of call for your team. Delegating tasks to ensure all the educators are having the opportunity to grow in their profession. Support and mentor your team Demonstrate good relationships by working together. Requirements: Applicants must hold a Diploma in Children's Services or approved Early Childhood Qualification. Working With Children's Centre First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training Understanding of the EYLF and NQS At explorers we are inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and so an understanding of this practice will be highly regarded.
