You will use your problem solving skills to troubleshoot issues as they arise, and plan ahead to improve our IT processes and procedures. What you'll do: Assist colleagues with common software / configuration issues on their work machines Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues with employee computers Administrate our A/V and conferencing equipment in various meeting rooms and presentation areas Be approachable for help, and provide timely assistance and instruction as needed Monitor the performance of our office network, diagnose and resolve issues as they arise Maintain an accurate inventory of our IT assets and accessories Manage our printers, desk phones, and fob access system Onboarding: own our onboarding processes including setting up computers, ensuring accessories are ready, and preparing new employees’ desks Offboarding: ensure access changes are made quickly and accurately, reclaim + refresh equipment and backup data as needed Who you are: You are cool under pressure. Sometimes things break when we need them the most, and you will work the issue methodically until it’s resolved. You are excited to learn new things. Eventbase has a mosaic of IT resources, and you’re excited to learn about how to use, maintain, repair and deploy them over time. You are a people person. As the face of IT, it's important that you like working with and helping people. You know that a lot of time IT issues lie with the user rather than the machine, and you can help people without making them feel silly. You value security and discretion. Eventbase works with many of the world’s biggest organizations and we place a high value on security and trust. As a member of the DevOps team you will help define and uphold the company's approach to privacy. You are methodical. Skills: Strong Mac hardware and macOS knowledge: our employees use primarily Apple machines. You should be comfortable troubleshooting common macOS software and Mac hardware issues. Intermediate network skills: you should understand the basics of an office network (what are routers, switches, access points, VPN etc). If you don’t know the ins and outs the team will help you learn over time. A/V system experience: you will be responsible for our fleet of TVs, projectors, Apple TVs, Mac minis, Zoom systems, Sonos and more. You should have a knack for figuring out how to set these up, and how to solve issues as they arise. Mobile Device Management is a bonus: Eventbase is looking forwarding to making our MDM solution more robust. Being familiar with the options available, and how to get started on deployment would be an asset. At Eventbase we work hard and smart, and take time to celebrate our wins.
