Job Title: Human Resources & Operations Assistant Area: Vancouver, BC Job Status: Contractual / Full-time Salary: 20$/h to 26$/h depending on educational background and relevant experience ___________________________________________________________________________ Europack Vancouver is an organization specializing in the management of international shipments that serves private customers and corporations. We provide our customers with peace of mind during every steps of their international relocation project. We are looking for a professional and dynamic Human Resources & Operations Assistant that could join our team and make a difference. Your role will be mainly to assist the human resources department for the Vancouver Branch and supervise our day-to-day operations. We are looking for a team player that has the determination and the abilities to continuously look after these two main objectives and to collaborate closely with the head office management team. Main responsibilities: Key responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: - Manage the full staffing processes - Prepare onboarding packages and handle the induction period of our new employees - Carry out the administration of the employee’s files and maintain our database up to date - Provide training to the employees and assist the HR team in developing, implementing and ensuring success of our organizational training, programs and policies - Perform regular organizational needs-assessments and make recommendations to the human resources department. - Ensure a proper day-to-day management of our staff with leadership abilities - Handle and provide a professional approach for conflict management - Supervise and develop the health and safety and ensure compliance with the local legislation - Ensure the efficiency of our business operations - Supervise, dispatch and monitor our employees on the jobs - Ensure the maintenance of our warehouse, vehicles and equipment - Collaborate closely with the head office operations department - Verify the employee’s time sheets before payroll processing - Could also assist our Calgary office with similar duties - Accomplish all related tasks Requirements: - University degree in Human Resources Management - Minimum of 2 year in a similar HR role - Experience in managing business operations (an asset) - Strong leadership skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Facility to work with a computer and manage emails - Capacity to work with the Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel et PowerPoint) - Valid Driver’s license Skills and attitude: - Great interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a team - Strong attention to details and time management / organizational skills - Problem-solving skills - Ability to empathize, act with diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality - Analysis and synthesis aptitudes - Dynamic, resourcefulness and capacity to take initiatives - Be open-minded - Punctual, trustworthy and reliable - Ability to work under pressure - Proactivity, autonomy - Strong business acumen - Ability to adapt quickly and easily to multiple contexts To apply, send your resume by email.
