Location of Role: Colchester Advert Closing Date: 04/03/2020 Salary Range: £20,619.00 to £25,380.00 (pro-rata for part-time vacancies) Part/Full Time: Full Time Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Mon-Fri Weekend/Evening Working: No An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Criminal Justice Command as a Caseworker, based at Colchester Criminal Justice Unit. A team player with excellent communication skills, you will prepare case files in accordance with the requirements of the Case Building Plan prepared by the File Adjudicator. You will identify any matters that might undermine either the prosecution or defence, and support the provision of a full evidence file to Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to assist in achieving successful prosecutions. You will provide efficient and effective support and assistance to Investigating Officers in dealing with the upgrading of files and general enquiries, ensuring timely and appropriate action on all matters pertaining to the submission of prosecution files to the CPS standard. Sound decision making skills are essential as well as excellent attention to detail.
