Apply Now Managing Director, APAC Hong Kong; Singapore Req #323 Wednesday, January 15, 2020 The Ergotron Managing Director, APAC (MD) will have responsibilities including formulating and implementing product and business strategy, achieving profitable growth, leading team members, and establishing successful processes and procedures within the APAC region. This role leads and directs strategic goals within APAC and is accountable for APAC P&L performance. Position Responsibilities: Set strategic direction and implement plan to achieve sales and profitability targets for Ergotron’s APAC business, with a balance of short-term success and long-term vision being equally important. Creation of a 5-year strategic plan to grow the business, including key performance indicators, annual improvement priorities, and actional strategic objectives. Collaborates with Corporate functional leadership to identify APAC product roadmap strategies and priorities. Provide clear and effective leadership direction to Ergotron’s APAC team, with a keen ability to help them successfully work within a matrix organization. Establishes annual sales quotas and approves monthly commissions payments for direct reports. Oversees the daily operation of the APAC region. Responsible for leading organizational change initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders. Reviews regional performance in relation to sales target vs actual, sales management, cash flow and profit. Sets and monitors KPI’s, ensures Departments Heads meet team goals. Budget and cost control – monitoring all costs, labor, supplies and materials costs. Resource planning and full analysis of staffing levels and labor control to ensure profitability. High-level negotiations of contracts with distributors / suppliers, aligning with corporate contract compliance procedures. Monitors team operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring all applicable regulatory requirements are met. Communicates and administers company policies. Makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. Provides thought leadership and direction to Ergotron's APAC regional initiatives. Responsible for timely and accurate updating of all required systems and programs necessary for APAC as appropriate to ensure customer data is well maintained and documented. Supports “Lean Business Enterprise” initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination. Up to 50 percent travel may be required. May be required to lift heavy products. Clearly define ownership and responsibilities for each of your team members. Provide leadership, coaching and development for APAC team. Responsible for timely and accurate updating of all required systems and programs necessary for sales operations including Salesforce and others as appropriate to ensure customer data is well maintained and documented. Additional duties as requested. Supports “Lean Business Enterprise” initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination. Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience): MBA or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field. Minimum 10 years of executive-level, APAC and/or global sales leadership experience leading a large and diverse team. Must have experience transforming a sales organization into a highly performing team. Must have experience as an active and influential Executive Leadership Team member. Must have experience working within a distribution sales model, IT distribution preferred Must have minimum of $50-$100M P&L responsibility experience. Knowledge of factory operations, engineering processes and procedures, quality and audit processes globally. Must be a strategic thought leader that can see the big picture, establish vision and articulate a strong plan of execution. Demonstrated ability to create, set, and achieve strategic initiatives that specifically align with organizational goals. Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to distill complex situations into actionable items. Must possess a collaborative working style that thrives in a cross-functional, matrix team environment. A track record of high achievement, meeting/exceeding goals and driving results is required. The ability to inspire, lead and motivate is imperative. Working knowledge of Salesforce.com and customer success platforms required. Must have the ability to measure and drive sales analytics and report progress to Leadership Team. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including listening and presentation skills. Must have a passion for customer satisfaction, prior leadership of customer service and engagement programs required. Demonstrated good business acumen and decision-making skills. Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, responsibility, determination, creativity, flexibility, drive and self-confidence. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally 50-80%. Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Oracle, Salesforce and company owned websites. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as described to you for the position.
