We are looking for a dynamic Web Developer with vision, problem-solving skills and a creative flair! You must have appropriate experience, be interested in and be responsible for the coding, design and layout of a website according to a company’s specifications. As the role takes into consideration user experience and function, a certain level of both graphic design and computer programming is necessary. Once a website have been created, you will be required to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the website. Responsibilities Our Web Developer must have experience in the planning and the delivery of web applications across multiple platforms. You need to be competent with the following: Write efficient code Create websites/a website using standard HTML/CSS practices Work closely with web designers and programmers to produce the website Ensure constant communication with other colleagues in the business to develop and deploy their content – and ensuring there is a clear establishment of what can be created within what timeframe Research different software programs, maintaining software documentation Implement contingency plans in case the website goes down Maintain and expand/enhance the website once built Desirable Qualifications and Knowledge Qualifications could include the following: Degree qualified or similar in Information Technology, Computer Science or Software Engineering Microsoft Certifications Knowledge in the following would be advantageous: HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript Server architecture Experience with server-side frameworks such as python, ruby, php, Java, ASP, ASP.NET Experience with database systems such as SQL and Oracle Aside from these skills, there are a number of qualities that my apply to the most suitable candidates as follows: Thorough functional knowledge and coding experience Solid knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation Ability to multitask with strict time constraints, budgets and business goals Strong communication skill Management experience or examples that show ability to manage a team, should this role involve team management You will require a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a national police clearance check to able to fulfil the role.
