Roles & Responsibilities Responsibilities Support the Project Manager and Operations Manager in the smooth running of subsea and umbilical pre-commissioning projects leading the engineering design of the works in accordance with professional standards and project-specific procedures, and complete within planned schedule and budget. Prepare clear and accurate detailed engineering design calculations, technical specifications and analyses including design reports and procedures. Plan, organise and direct all execution of projects including scope, deliverables, schedule and manpower resources. Provide leadership onsite via a detailed technical understanding of subsea and umbilical pre-commissioning services such as flooding, cleaning, gauging, testing, dewatering, pigging and umbilical testing and commissioning. Attend project kickoff and review meetings, vendor meetings, engineering meetings and offshore site surveys as required. Act as a discipline focal point for all QHSE related matters on the project. Report project progress to Management and Client in a timely manner and provide problems resolution in accordance with project and company requirements. Responsible for all project paperwork and records for reporting to the Management and client representatives. Ensure that the monthly billing process is seamless through the correct paperwork being approved and presented on time. Prepare estimates for bid proposals including technical write up, methodology, project resource estimates and any other project-specific requirements. Qualifications & Skills Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical or its equivalent qualifications Higher National Diploma (HND) Mechanical Engineering or similar if no degree qualifications 5 years of experience in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design of offshore/subsea facilities Experience in Subsea EPC projects an advantage Experience in technical definition and design of Subsea and Umbilical Pre-commissioning including specification, procurement, technical evaluation, vendor data and deliverables Proven track record of developing operational procedures and documentation, and testing and fault finding of fibre optic and electrical cables Background in working worldwide on large and small scale projects Previous experience in Project Management in a supervisory role Commercial awareness and project cost conscious to the business Meticulous with suppliers and customer focused both internally and externally Detailed knowledge of design techniques and analysis methods Detailed knowledge of the theory, content and application of standard, codes and guidelines as applicable to Subsea Umbilical and Controls Knowledge in project coordination and execution skills Competent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Navision, ERP)
