Englobe is pleased to offer a career opportunity to an ambitious Intermediate or senior mechanical technician who enjoys managing a variety of projects from multiple sectors and a diverse client base in a growing team environment. Reporting to the Team Leader, your main tasks will be to perform welding and machining quality inspection for various industrial sectors. Responsibilities: Perform inspections of a variety of components and structural steel work to cover witness/hold points at suppliers; Realize quality surveillance activities of manufactured components to ensure compliance with customer requirements and standards; Knowledge of contractual requirements and technical specifications to report any deviations and non-conformances; Carry out follow-ups of open issues and non-conformances with the suppliers; Write periodic quality intervention reports, as agreed with our customers. Qualifications Valid CSA 178.1 Level 2 or AWS QC1 certification; Strong background in welding, fitting, basic machining, etc. Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience; Minimum of 5 years of related industry experience; Knowledge of Hydro turbine & generator (preferable) Strong communication and technical writing skills; Proactive and autonomous; Knowledge of Microsoft Office software’s; Motivated to provide excellent client service and enjoy working in remote locations; Residency in Northern British Columbia preferable; Available to travel on a regular basis.
