Grade: M Job Purpose: Responsible to analyze and determine data requirements. The Data Analyst works with Business SMEs to understand Business data requirements that might be expressed as Data Elements or Conceptual data Models. The Data Analyst will interpret the data requirements and map them to the enterprise Data Model, SAP Financial Services Data Model (FSDM) as well as mapping data requirements to application source systems. The Data Analyst will have a strong understanding of data and working with data models. Work with Business SMEs to determine data requirements. Interpret data profiling reports and data quality issue. Use the enterprise Data Catalog to document data definitions and associations. Define Business data transformation rules. Create data mappings at a logical and physical level. Enable Data domain discovery and use techniques of pattern matching, data similarity checks, etc. to identify & document data association. Build data profiles and suggest data similarities on source data across multiple instances of source systems. Identify and tag data sensitivity based on PII/ DSS, GDPR and local regulatory standards. Main Task: Good understanding of source systems data, data retentions policies and data modelling Data modelling & mapping, and identify extensions to the SAP Financial Services Data Model. Drive data reusability, reduce duplicity of data, minimizing adverse impact to performance, Data will technically profiled for inconsistencies and errors and reported on. Where required the data will be corrected Load data glossary/ terms into the data catalog Data definitions will be catalogued and meta-data captured Implement data lineage for data from end user BI reports to the source systems. Associate data similarity to data sensitivity, security and data definitions Experience of using industry data models Identifying model extensions To ensure comprehensiveness design, project & process documentations Implement best practices in code documentation & maintain version history across code managed throughout data platforms Adopt continuous integration and continuous deployments, continuous improvement Qualifications Bachelors of Computer Science or Equivalent Relevant Certifications Experience, Knowledge & Skills: Minimum 1 years of professional experience in Banking & Finance Industry Minimum 2 years professional experience in Data Warehouse Knowledge/ exposure to Modern Data Warehouse Architecture Agile working practices 2+ years of working experience as a Data Analyst 2+ years’ experience of working with industry Data Models Solid knowledge of Data Warehouse principles Experience of working with hadoo9p (SQL, Etc.) Experience of working with Power BI and building dashboards Experience of working with SAP HANA Experience of working in agile teams as part of a squad. Experience working in banking or finance industry Working knowledge of Data Governance including glossary, metadata, data quality, master data management & data lifecycle management.
