Hosts required for busy town centre restaurant Elysium Group are a popular and growing restaurant group in the Colchester area. We are looking to employ part time Hosts for our large restaurant Pavilion based in Colchester town centre. As our Host your role will include meeting and greeting our guests with warm, personal attention providing the customer with a memorable first impression, answering the phone, handling customer requests, making bookings, presenting menus and assisting other colleagues to ensure the seamless service of the restaurant as required. You must be highly presentable at all times as you will often be the first point of contact for our customers. Summary of Responsibilities: Offer a friendly greeting and engaging service throughout Understand the servers’ tasks within the venue Assist guests regarding food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful manner Have knowledge of all menu items and preparation methods Handover with the bookings co-ordinator to be aware of large parties and private booking events so you are on hand to assist with any queries Desired candidate qualities: Excellent communication and organisational skills Highly responsible and reliable Able to work on weekends, key trading dates (Valentines, Mothers Day etc) and over the Christmas period, Christmas Day and NYE night. Ability to focus attention on guests needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Knowledge of ResDiary (bookings system) is desirable but not essential as training will be provided Hourly paid role - rate of pay dependent on age and experience.
