Role overview: As part of a lively office-based team, Technical Sales Engineers (Key Account Managers) play a key role in delivering a first-class customer service experience. Operating in a demanding and fast-paced environment, they are expected to quickly develop strong relationships with customers. Central to the role is a requirement to promptly prepare quotes and to proactively convert orders over the telephone and by email. The candidate: Successful candidates will have a keen passion for customer service. They will have good commercial acumen and negotiation skills. They will also be able to demonstrate acute attention to detail. Good communication skills (written and spoken English), telephone manners and a high level of numeracy are essential. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude and be able to work well under pressure as the role requires dealing with numerous customer enquiries, sometimes simultaneously. Previous sales experience and the ability to work well at a consistently fast-pace is required. An industrial engineering or electrical background would be advantageous.
