Further your career with Edinburgh Napier University The Academic Skills team at Edinburgh Napier University is a small group of advisers dedicated to helping students understand and adjust to the expectations of studying at university-level. The team offers inclusive, accessible academic and study skills guidance to help students develop as effective, independent learners and achieve their potential. We are now looking to recruit to a full time, permanent team member. The role You will contribute to the work of the Academic Skills team, which is responsible for providing coherent academic skills and learning development through the provision of workshops and one-to-one advice and guidance. In this role you will work closely with other members of the team and with programme and module leaders across the university on providing open and integrated academic skills sessions tailored to a diverse range of students. You will also contribute to the delivery, promotion and continuous improvement of the service working with colleagues across the University to support Edinburgh Napier University's strategic objectives. Who we are looking for We are ideally looking for someone who has a collaborative working style, proven effective communication skills and the ability to create and build positive working relationships. You will have: Experience of working with students in the Further or Higher Education sector Demonstrable experience of delivering guidance and academic support to individuals or groups A commitment to inclusive teaching and reflective practice Proven ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work within a team Experience of IT, proficiency in Microsoft packages To learn more about this exciting opportunity, please click here to view the role description in full.
