Job Purpose To provide a fun, interactive and informative experience for our visitors while executing key service metrics including craft bartending, mixology, serving and retail sales. The Tasting Room at Eau Claire Distillery prides itself in providing a very high level guest service experience. Key Responsibilities Acts as a host to all visitors of the Tasting Room Leads product tasting sessions with visitors. Performs bartending duties including bar set up/tear down, mixing a variety of craft style cocktails. Performs limited food preparation duties Performs serving duties including cashiering as well as retail sales assistance to our visitors. Product promotion and brand awareness. Maintains a “Can Do” attitude. Is aware of all upcoming events in the Tasting Room t and promotes with visitors. Solicits feedback from visitors and communicates opportunities and successes with management. Ensures timely food and cocktail service to visitors. Ensures service steps for table service are executed consistently. Uses company time productively and is proactive with required duties and tasks. Communicates effectively with management and is open to coaching and training. Ensures confidentiality regarding business related privileged information. Attends all required training sessions and meetings. Maintains a professional communication style when interacting with other team members. Ensures cleaning schedule is strictly adhered to daily. Ensures all food safety standards are followed as outlined by Health Canada. Maintain duty checklists including temperature and sanitizer logs. Communicates any structural deficiencies (plumbing, light fixtures out etc.) to management and acts to resolve. Ensures the Tasting Room is constantly maintained for cleanliness and ambiance and that the retail items are continually stocked and visually appealing. Adheres to all Health & Safety rules for the Distillery and Tasting Room. Adheres to all A.G.L.C regulations. Demonstrates a high level of product knowledge. Maintains par inventory levels for all food, cocktail and retail items. Maintains and monitors internal recycling program. Performs daily cash out and reconciliation duties. Works within a team environment to meet and exceed monthly bottle sales targets. Ensures cocktail and food item recipe adherence. Required Certification - Employment Requirements Valid Pro Serve is required Food Safety Certification is considered an asset Criminal Records Check Reliable transportation as we are located in Turner Valley, Alberta and public transportation is not available. Position Requirements This is a part time weekends (Friday - Sunday) with opportunity for additional shifts based on events. Role becomes Full Time - Five shifts per week Mid May for our busy summer season. A minimum 2 years relevant experience is required.
