EastPack is the kiwifruit industry’s leading grower-owned post-harvest operator with facilities in six locations in the Bay of Plenty. - Katikati - Opotiki - Edgecumbe - Te Puke We have seasonal forklift driver positions available for our main packing season on both our day and night shifts. We have roles within our Forecourt Coolstore CA Bin Tip and Packaging areas. - We offer competitive rates! - For the right candidates there is an opportunity to extend employment beyond the main packing season. - Experience and a current OSH certificate is preferred but training can be given to those who show great potential! You will need to be a team player who is able to follow instructions and work safely under pressure. As these are deemed to be safety critical positions you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test. You will also need: - Excellent organisational skills with the ability to make sound decisions while working under pressure. - Good numerical and literacy skills. - Excellent communication skills including good written and spoken English in order to give and take clear directions/instructions and work effectively as part of a team. - A strong awareness and understanding of employer and worker Health and Safety responsibilities. - To be able to follow procedures to ensure compliance with our policies and procedures particularly health and safety quality and food safety. - An enthusiastic and hardworking approach to work including flexibility to work a 6 day/week roster working extended hours at times. This includes working weekends and extended hours at times. EastPack operate a drug and alcohol free workplace in accordance with our random drug testing programme.
