This summary provides a listing of the knowledge, skills and abilities that are critical components for the position of Treasurer. B. General The Treasurer is expected to manage and oversee the Company’s treasury, cash management, and bank related needs. May also be asked to oversee certain insurance risk products. The Treasurer makes recommendations to the Controller, CFO, or President & CEO on matters of finance and accounting policy, procedures, operations and processes that are applicable all cash, credit, banking, and treasury needs of the Company. He/she must be able to act concisely and with conviction using clear written and verbal communication skills while interacting with all levels of the Company. From time to time, the Treasurer may be called upon to step in and represent the Controller in various working groups and/or working with other members of senior management. He or she must be an individual of high integrity, exercise good judgment, have excellent decision-making skills, and be able to confidently handle the Company’s present and future needs within his or her area of responsibility without reservation. C. Duties and Responsibilities: · Provide direction, liaise and consult with other areas on cash management/Treasury issues (e.g. Tax, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Accounting); · Oversee the Company’s domestic and international bank account structure ensuring that sufficient funds are available at all times to meet company obligations; · Enhance and manage the cash flow forecasting process, analysis and reporting; · Manage letters of credit and bank guarantees; · Manage the opening, closing and maintenance of bank accounts globally, monitor banking fees and negotiate pricing with banks; · Ensures the accuracy of Company financial transactions including accurate and timely employee and contractor payrolls, bill payment; and customer revenue collection; · Develops and documents business processes and treasury related accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls; · Coordinates the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensures timely submission; · Manages and oversees compliance with local, state, and federal government tax reporting requirements and works with the Company’s tax accountant to support completion of appropriate tax filings; · Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates finance and accounting department staff members; · Handles the Company’s Insurance risk product needs when requested by the Controller, CFO/CEO, i.e. D&O, EPLI, Workers Comp, General Liability, Aircraft Hull and Liability, etc. and coordinates with the Company’s broker; · Works with FP&A to provide history and/or financial statements as requested for use in their analyses; · Establishes credibility throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver; · Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed and/or assigned by Controller, CFO and/or CEO. D. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or related discipline is required; · Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license a plus but not required; · Must have at least five (5) years or more in Accounting, Finance, or Global Treasury experience preferably airline industry related; · Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills; · Must have excellent leadership, organizational skills and experience; · Operations experience in the airline or aviation related industry preferred but not required; · Should be an individual of high integrity; · Must have Expert level skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); · Pass a two (2) year drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC).
