We are proactively searching for a Product Definition Specialist (Mechanical Drafter/Designer) to support our rapid growth in Canada, having experienced significant growth since 2015. The EASi product definition specialist will be responsible for the development of engineering models and drawing for commercial aerospace components designed and produced previously by Bombardier Aerospace. This person will be responsible for the interpretation, implementation and standardization of existing aerospace designs and components. This person will be the technical resource acting as the subject matter expert for Bombardier Aerospace drawings related to the CL-215 and CL-415 programs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Verifying component models and detail drawings to ensure they meet design intent- satisfying fit, form, and function; Ensure optimization 2. Ensure and create and supply associated master models and Product Structures 3. Interpret and implement correct definition of Geometric Definition & Tolerances 4. Interpret the design solution created by the Designer into detailed drawings for Manufacturing 5. Review and approve manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards 6. Draft, review, and approve reports and product development documentation 7. Verify and ensure adherence to system and component requirements Education and Experience Requirements: 1. The candidate must have a formal education or training related to product definition/drafting/design 2. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience / knowledge in the following areas: · Proficiency with Commercial Aerospace product definition (3D Modeling and Drafting) · Experience with Bombardier Aerospace drawings from the CL-215 and CL-415 programs · Understanding and interpretation of scaled Mylar drawings · Working knowledge of commercial aerospace manufacturing/industry standards · CAD systems, preferably UG/NX and/or CATIA; · Geometric definition and tolerances; · Aerospace materials and manufacturing methods · Risk assessment (FMEA) 3. The candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office (reporting and presentations) Skills: 1. Strong verbal and written communication skills (English a priority, French an asset) 2. Demonstrated ability working as part of an integrated team, solid problem-solving skills, customer focus; 3. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; 4. Excellent problem solving and time management skills 5. Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge 6. Self-motivated and highly organized 7.
