Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture is required (Extensive relevant construction management experience in place of education may be considered) Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Construction Manager is required At least 5 years of experience with Higher Education, Community College, or K-12 projects for either a contractor, construction management firm, or owner is required Experience with vertical constructions as a buldings, shopping centers, etc DSA experience are required Ability to handle multiple contractors and multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously is required Strong oral and written communication skills are required Knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices are required Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related Construction Management systems are preferred Certified Construction Manager preferred Position Description Duties include assisting the Program Manager in Pre-Construction and procuring contracts with contractors Overseeing the flow of important project related documents such as Meeting Minutes, Correspondence, RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Change Orders, and assuring resolution to each of those Managing and concluding all Change Order matters, periodically generating estimates that will help compare and negotiate request for change orders from the contractor. Will be responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance and Safety Plans that are implemented and followed Will work closely with inspectors, and other authorities having jurisdiction in assuring the work is in compliance with the contract documents Overseeing and concluding the following DSA workflows: CCD A’s & B’s assuring their approval by DSA; Deviation Notices, Correction Notices, and DSA Field-Trip Notes Responsible for reviewing the project schedule and establishing the basis for contractor payment on a monthly basis Responsible for generating the monthly client status reports Oversee the closeout and certification of the project through the various means, methods, policies, and procedures established by the owner and DSA (or other authority having jurisdiction) SALARY RANGE: $140,000 – $170,000 per year
