ABOUT THE ROLE DDR Indigenous Contractors are seeking two enthusiastic, driven and highly motivated individuals to join our rapidly growing project team in Darwin, NT as full time Project Trainees. The role provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to learn valuable skills and knowledge within a business environment with ongoing support from a dedicated mentor, whilst obtaining a Certificate 11 in Construction. This is an entry level role where the successful candidate will be assisting and learning from the delivery team all operational aspects of civil construction, including the co-ordination of works, equipment and personnel, reading and interpreting plans and how to follow WHS polices. The role will include on site training SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE In order to be considered, you will have the following; Have a great work ethic, keen to learn new skills and good team player Good communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail Must be able to pass a Police Clearance and Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical (on going) Secondary education to a minimum year 10 (preferably Year 12) Basic skill level in Microsoft Office Suite including; Outlook, Word & Excel Have a current Drivers Licence White card – Construction Card - desirable though not essential A genuine interest to pursue a career in Construction and project delivery Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly recommended to apply! **NO AGENCY CONTACT AT THIS TIME** Advertised: 22 Jan 2020 W.
