This position is responsible for managing integrated physical security functions across the credit union, including retail branches, service centers, ITM/ATM locations and corporate administrative office by providing oversight of day-to-day security including: mitigating security risks, deploying controls necessary to maintain safe member and employee work environment, utilize technology to protect against unwanted access, protection of physical property and supporting a safe workplace culture. What You’ll Be Doing: Oversee physical security related program (evacuation and procedures), technologies (fob & camera) and vendor relationships (providers for alarms, cameras, etc.). Helping answer employee questions. Serve as primary contact for contracted security personnel Manage the credit union’s business continuity/disaster recovery program including updates, training of staff, and periodic testing of the plan and related documentation. Serve as the main contact for the retrieval of recorded camera footage. Conduct self-inspections of all credit union physical security equipment (including but not limited to cameras, door locks, safes, etc.) and recommend improvements as necessary. Assess, develop and make appropriate recommendations for changes to security policy and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulation as well as proactively enhancing our security profile though the use new technologies, enhanced training opportunities and improved controls. Manage life systems (AEDs, first aid supplies, fire extinguishers, etc.) to protect the credit union from external and internal threats. Lead the deployment of security and life systems at new office and branch locations. Act as a liaison with law enforcement and intelligence agencies to identify, quantify, and assess various potential security threats and coordinate appropriate response. Maintain records pertaining to oversight of security systems, training, testing, and security equipment performance. Prepare annual budget pertaining to maintaining existing security equipment, recommended enhancements and replacements. Perform audits of security procedures and controls to ensure proper responses to various security related situations recommend process improvements accordingly. Provide support and guidance to employees through escalated member situations related to safety/security. Assist with alarm calls as back up to designated branch employees. You’ll need: Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Occupational Safety, or other related field or equivalent combined work and educational experience. Excellent communication skills including both written and verbal skills. Ability to work flexible/additional hours as demanded by the work load. Ability to compile and analyze complex data from multiple sources extract trends. Ability to demonstrate complex problem solving and strong decision-making skills. Occasional travel required.
