We are seeking suitable candidates for the position of Assistant Manager/Manager in the Academic Development Department of the Office of Academic & Clinical Development. The successful candidate will provide effective planning, coordination and administrative support to the Deputy Director, with supervisory role such as but not limited to the following: - Faculty Appointments, Promotion and Tenure (APT) processes, including evaluation of Faculty/Academic Clinical Programmes’ academic contributions and coordination of review by the Academic Committees. Assist in coordination and implementation of the department’s IT projects. Supervise and coordinate work of designated staff on supporting business functions. Assist in preparing reports and analysis for the Head of Department and other stakeholders. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein or as assigned by the Deputy Director. Job Requirements Degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Human Resources. 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory-related role. Prior work experience in a research or academic environment and in implementation of IT projects would be advantageous. Able to to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner. Meticulous, well organised and able to multi-task. Proficient in Microsoft applications, including advanced Excel and Assess, and accessing library/web for academic resources such as journals and indices to facilitate APT review.
