Senior Cost Accountant - SG JOB Summary: The key function of the Senior Cost Accountant is to provision production accounting (e.g. inventory and cost of goods sold) for actuals reporting, budgeting and forecasting. This includes the periodic standard cost change exercise. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 7-10 years production accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Accounting experience within a regulated environment focused on cost improvements Experience in change management and continuous improvement Demonstrated ability to support transformation initiatives Project management and business transformation execution leadership experience Understanding of manufacturing processes from a chemical standpoint SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with the Global FP&A Head Supply Chain to set spend and savings targets in Supply Chain spends. In conjunction with new product introduction Teams, support costing “what-if” projects to develop solid business cases for new programs and new product opportunities. Support colleagues across the Company to identify synergies and opportunities that leverage our global scale. Support business planning initiatives to achieve cost targets, drive improvement plans a Understand economic conditions and mega-trends that will have an impact on our current and future business. Work with Supply Chain Leaders and Stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement, cost savings and sustainability goals are realized. Provide monthly reports on spending trends, cost reductions, commodity data and supplier performance status. Lead month end close for production variances
