Position Summary: The Warehouse Operations Manager is a key appointment with Dover Fueling Solutions UK Ltd., a highly successful, specialist dispenser manufacturing company and a fully integrated subsidiary of a leading global corporation. Operating from a significant site with c700 employees we have an excellent reputation for the innovation, quality and breadth of products, supplying a wide and demanding marketplace in which the requirements for world-class quality are ever present. Our business is the development and manufacture of a broad range of fuel dispenser products on both a batch and project basis with significant bespoke elements utilizing a wide range of technologies, materials and an extended supply chain. The successful applicant will be a strong team leader with high standards of material control, process adherence, people development and 5S. You will be expected to manage a small team of direct reports who in turn manage 3 larger teams of indirect reports within a busy manufacturing environment. Within these teams are dedicated stores operators, goods receiving and dispatch teams, kitting and material replenishment covering standard warehouse and logistics operations across a 2-shift system. Understanding of an ERP computer system, such as Oracle is preferred, as is a good knowledge of current material control methods. The ability to communicate well and build good relationships with other functions are equally important along with the ability to engage the workforce and support an existing culture of continuous improvement. You will be expected to interact with Logistics, Purchasing, Quality and Production departments on a daily basis. You may also be involved directly with suppliers in agreeing service requirements. There is a heavy reliance on material supply to Production, so world class standards of inventory accuracy and 5S are expected by Senior Management. There is a structured program of storage improvements in place and with this there is a need to create and deploy a sustainable and measureable quality process to measure the effectiveness of the replenishment methods to the production lines form the Central Store. An ability to work under pressure is therefore essential as is the commitment to continuous improvement. Duties: Responsible for achieving the highest level of Health and Safety. Managing both the Warehouse Operations teams, Goods receiving and dispatch teams along with Stock Control directly through 5 supervisors. Efficient and defect free quality of replenishment to production areas, ensuring no stoppages due to late supply. Setting stock management systems and cycle count targets to achieve World class levels of inventory accuracy. Setting and maintaining the highest level of 5S standards within the stores. Liaising with other departments to drive stock reduction programs, and implementing visual controls throughout. Educational Requirements & Experience: A Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain or a relevant field with excellent academic results At least 5 years’ experience working in a Logistics Management role. Advanced experience with Microsoft Office particularly Excel Oracle experience required along with 3rd Party Logistics software. Proven track record of managing logistics supplier performance. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Self-directed individual with the ability to manage complex problems and multiple priorities Ability to think analytically, creatively, and independently with excellent problem-solving skills. Strong sense of urgency and can meet deadlines Must be able to effectively communicate with and influence people from all levels of the organization as well as external contacts Ability to see what needs to get done independently and mobilize multi-functional teams to deliver. Strong attention-to-detail, excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and thrive in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment with diligence and accountability. Lean or Continuous Improvement Certification Strong leadership and management skills required including but not limited to setting strategy, coaching, progressive discipline, succession planning, etc. Strong delegation, change management, project management skills required NOTE: Only candidates with recognised EU / UK working rights will be considered for these roles.
