Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer | Contract with the option to Extend or Convert | Salary of 110K to 140K PLUS Benefits Location: NYC by Bryant Park You must have the following to be considered - 4+ years of experience supporting infrastructure installations 2+ years managing projects and tasks using JIRA A solid understanding and previous hands-on experience installing and coordinating installation of of infrastructure components (firewalls, routers, servers, databases, etc.) The ability to fluently and seamlessly partner with engineers on technical elements Supported at least 1 compliance related project Supported at least 1 infrastructure upgrade Supported at least 2 infrastructure floor/space moves or new installations If you meet the required qualifications, please read on to learn more and apply! The Technology Department will move all technology assets and services from the 11th floor to the temporary offices on the 4th floor, build out the technology infrastructure on the 11th floor, and then move all technology assets and services back to the 11th floor and get everything working. This project will require one dedicated full-time contractor to manage the project and perform many of the technical tasks associated with the move, and part-time involvement by members of the Infrastructure team. This project is very difficult and comes with a lot of risk that needs to be carefully managed. The macro tasks are as follows: Complete a detailed project plan covering the DOUBLE MOVE Coordinate with the following vendors and contractors Telecom Wiring Furniture Electrical Architects Network Equipment Videoconferencing and A/V HVAC Building Management Design temporary wiring and WiFi plan for connectivity (Fl 4) Design new wiring and WiFi plan for connectivity (FL 11) Configure temporary computer room (Fl 4) Design and build new computer room (Fl 11) Set up temporary conference space (Fl 4) Specify requirements for new conference rooms (Fl 11) Install temporary videoconferencing equipment (Fl 4) Install existing/new videoconferencing and A/V equipment; additional new conference rooms are planned (Fl 11) Create new documentation for temporary space (Fl 4) Create new documentation for new space (Fl 11) Installtion and configuration of servers and databases We are allowed approximately two weeks to set up the temporary space on the 4th floor and less time to shut down temporary services and move our technology assets out of the space. Therefore, timing and planning have to be perfect. Measure of success: Completing the DOUBLE MOVE with minimal disruption to business operations.
