We continue to grow and have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Technologist with Revit expertise to join our multi-disciplinary team of professionals. This exciting opportunity is looking for someone with strong technical and mentoring capabilities to help our growing team. Responsibilities: Coordination and completion of drafting and CAD for variety of project types including mechanical, fire protection and electrical Application of 2D and 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD and other specialty programs to produce design drawings Coordination and completion of field assessments and information gathering Coordination and completion of field observation and management of site documentation during construction Coordination and completion of contract administration services including processing Contractor's progress claims, valuation of change orders, tracking deficiencies, and review of shop drawings Ensure the assurance of quality, consistency and integrity of deliverables. Preparation of construction drawings/documents Preparation of preliminary drawings/sketches/notes for projects, redlines and plans for submittals Assistance to project managers and engineers in the functional and detailed design of building systems Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members including engineers, planners, scientists, and technical and administrative support staff Input to the career development of more junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring Business travel to project sites and to other Dillon offices upon request Development and training of mechanical Revit design team Qualifications: Diploma from an accredited Architectural Technologist Program, or equivalent. 3-5 years of relevant experience Proficiency in the latest versions of AutoCAD and Revit. Experience in interpreting and implementing relevant codes, standards and regulatory requirements. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly organized and detail oriented.
