Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database and deployment, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements in the application. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well. Responsibilities and Duties Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends. Building reusable code and libraries for future use Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability Implementation of security and data protection Design and implementation of data storage solutions Qualifications and Skills Reviewing query performance and optimizing code. Writing queries used for front-end applications (websites, desktop applications, or cloud apps). Designing and coding database tables to store the application’s data. Working with application developers to create optimized queries. Creating table indexes to improve database performance. Programming views, stored procedures, and functions.
