Now is the perfect time to join the evolving National Compliance Team at the Department of Conservation as we increase in size and capability to further strengthen our national compliance function. The Role As the Marine Reserves Programme Lead within National Compliance, you will play a crucial role in leading programmes focusing on the protection of our precious marine reserves. These special places are dependent upon strong compliance and law enforcement practices to ensure they continue to offer the opportunity for us to enjoy spectacular marine life thriving in their natural environment. About You We are looking for a dedicated individual with extensive expertise in operational compliance within a regulatory agency. Ideally you will bring marine enforcement experience and demonstrated interest and passion in marine conservation management. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be a strong collaborator with the confidence to build effective cross agency working relationships and to coordinate a national group of marine reserve rangers into a cohesive, well-trained community of peers. As the programme lead you will also need to be well versed in financial planning and reporting on national scale plans. We are looking for an individual with the ability to develop the capability of others and provide support in the application of technical knowledge. Please note, this appointment requires the ability to be granted and retain a confidential security clearance and ability to travel. Why work for us?
