To facilitate our growth in APAC (currently 34 FTE in Shanghai and 25 FTE in Singapore), we have a great opportunity for an ambitious and strong procurement professional to join the team of our Business Unit Global Logistics. About the role: In this role you will be responsible to procure logistics services for our fast-developing tank transport business across Asia Pacific. Focus will be primarily on procuring sea freight for intra APAC (tender and spot), coordinating tenders for exports from APAC countries to the rest of the world and managing the performance of the selected transport suppliers. You secure existing and future needed capacity against the lowest integral supply chain costs and work pro-actively towards sustainable results with the suppliers embedding highest safety standards, quality and operational performance. You will report to the General Manager (Singapore or Shanghai) and functionally to the Global Procurement Manager (Netherlands / Rotterdam) and you will work with colleagues around the world. Your responsibilities: Supplier relationships & process management (60%) Build and maintain long-term win-win relationships with international suppliers. Lead, drive and execute negotiations with service suppliers. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and regional colleagues ensuring efficient procurement processes against the lowest integral supply chain costs. Performance management & reporting (20%) Control contracts, SLA’s and other relevant documents. Own procurement data and keep database and systems up to date at any time. Produce regular procurement dashboards to track safety, quality and operational and financial performance of suppliers. Projects & Improvement (20%) Lead procurement projects at regional level in order to deliver process improvements and saving opportunities, challenge the status quo. Provide analysis of the market developments and trends and advise the procurement team and regional stakeholders. About you: Bachelor / Master-degree in a relevant area (e.g. Supply Chain, Commercial, Procurement) or significant and relevant procurement experience on the job. Proven track record (minimum 3 years) in a similar role in a dynamic and international organization. Experience in procurement practices such as performance management, tenders, process improvements, cost drivers, etc. Knowledge of international logistics supply base including best practices and contractual/legal arrangements. Strong influencing, negotiating, collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Experience in participating in projects in a complex and international setting. Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills. Hands-on mentality, get things done. Proactive and a strong drive to constantly improve and achieve results. Self-starter with high degree of autonomy. Team player with personal development top of mind and ability to work with different cultures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese. Advanced Excel skills, experience with Power BI and/or Tableau a plus Ability to travel up to 20%.
