About the Role This role will see you provide Datacom and its customers with day to day support, proactive maintenance and system troubleshooting for the areas under operational support. These may include client WAN and LAN, firewalls/security operations, IP-based Telephony systems, Unified Communications and managed services provided out of Datacom Data Centres, such as VPNs, Internet Access, Mail and WebMarshal Services etc. Due to the nature of the clients this role will require that you have the ability to pass New Zealand security clearance. You must hold either PR/Citizenship and have been in New Zealand or its 5eyes counterparts at least 5 years. What you’ll do This role will see you provide Datacom and its customers with day to day support, proactive maintenance and system troubleshooting for the areas under operational support. These may include client WAN and LAN, firewalls/security operations, IP-based Telephony systems, Unified Communications and managed services provided out of Datacom Data Centres, such as VPNs, Internet Access, Mail and WebMarshal Services etc. What you’ll bring At least 3 years experience, across all areas of Network and Network Security Operations Management Networks Strong understanding of Networking principles and practical application. Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including LAN protocols, BGP, RIP, NAT, OSPF/EIGRP, TCP/IP and Wireless (Cisco, Aerohive, Fortinet, Aruba). Experience with router and switch technology as well as working knowledge in protocol analysis. Includes ability to configure, deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot. Experience with DNS configuration and management. Experience with Cloud Solutions: Azure, AWS Experience with analysis and implementation of Firewall requests. Experience with diagnosis and troubleshooting using firewall analysis tools. Experience with support of some of the following: Load Balancing: F5, Citrix Netscaler, Global Server Load Balancing Firewall/Network Security: Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco, Palo Alto, IPS, and VPN Experience with implementing and supporting VPNs. Experience with IP address management, NAT and PAT. Understanding or working knowledge of IPS/IDS technologies, deployment and support. Security Operations Experience with analysis and implementation of Firewall requests. Experience with diagnosis and troubleshooting using firewall analysis tools. Experience with support of some of the following: Load Balancing: F5, Citrix Netscaler, Global Server Load Balancing Firewall/Network Security: Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco, Palo Alto, IPS, and VPN Sound knowledge of information security principles that would be found in a multi-tenanted environment. Experience with implementing and supporting VPNs. Experience with IP address management, particularly around NAT and PAT. Understanding or working knowledge of IPS/IDS technologies, deployment and support.
