ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a Scrum Master based in Melbourne with proven experience leading Agile teams and coaching other Scrum Masters throughout the software development lifecycle. You will report to the Vice President of Engineering and work with the entire organisation to help deliver business value frequently and with quality. As Scrum Master, you will be expected to leverage industry-accepted best practices, including Scrum and Scaled Agile (SAFe) as part of a distributed multi-team Agile release cycle. WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON The whole company has just completed Agile SAFe training and you will join Cyara Melbourne as the first stand alone Scrum Master. You will hit the ground running with the following responsibilities: Scrum Master responsibilities for several Scrum teams as part of a distributed multi-team Agile release cycle. Coach other Scrum Masters so that they can be successful in their role. Contribute to the successful outcome of release planning activities and other related release ceremonies. Champion ongoing process improvements to implement best practices based on Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Work with business and technology stakeholders in managing escalations and defect resolutions. Support Architecture, QA, and DevOps-led initiatives. WHY YOU? To be successful in this role we expect you bring with you: More than four years of Scrum Master experience with progressively increasing responsibilities. Solid understanding of software development life cycle models and expert knowledge of Agile best practices. Proven track record leading multiple distributed Scrum teams as part of a multi-Sprint Agile release cycle. Experience scaling Agile to an engineering organisation of fifty software engineers or more in size. Prior experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.…) on enterprise-scale projects. Sufficient technical background to accurately and objectively evaluate complex program/project risks and technical issues. A bachelor's degree in a related discipline, preferably in MIS or CS. Preferred Qualifications: Start-up and scale-up experience with an emphasis on organisational effectiveness. Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience desired. Experience working with Atlassian Jira and Bitbucket (Git) and TeamCity (or Jenkins). Experience with Web, mobile, big data, and cloud technologies. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deliver experience desired.
