This will include support for both capital and revenue budgets, the budget setting process and developing income. The role will provide key information and advice, internally and to partners, relating to the financial performance of relevant Services and departments. It is expected that the role will expected to link closely with Cornwall Councils Finance Department to ensure a coordinated delivery of financial support is maintained. This role will be expected to work in supporting more complex areas of the council. To ensure the standards and protocols set by the Business Planning, Development Service and CELS, Tremorvah and Cornwall Lifeline are applied in the delivery of front line services and new business opportunities developed by client departments. The role has Line Management responsibility for 2 Finance staff and, although based within the Tremorvah Industries site at Threemilestone, will be expected to travel to Cornwall Community Equipment Loan Service and Lifeline offices on a regular basis. This is a 6 month fixed term contract and may represent a suitable secondment opportunity for existing Cornwall Council employees.
