The Business Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Business Analyst Team in the delivery of change initiatives to improve existing processes in the Life Division. This role holder will also be responsible for providing support to Financial Sales Consultants on existing in-house systems. This is a varied role which will require the role holder to have an analytical approach to problem solving, have an interest in systems and process improvement and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity. Accountabilities of the Role Participate in and support projects at various stages of their cycle from initial discovery through to testing and software releases. Collaborate with staff at various levels within Cornmarket and in third party organisations (e.g. DocuSign, ETS, insurance partners etc.) to gather, validate and document information about systems and processes. Co-ordination of consultant communications in relation to software and operational updates. Attending daily stand up meetings between the Life Operations Team and the I.T. Development team to ensure all issues are being tightly managed and on track. Contribute to development of Test Plans and perform test execution as required to ensure proposed improvements are having the desired effect. Engage in discovery type activities for new software systems (e.g. Skype for Business) Manage the sales software applications to ensure user profiles are correctly enabled and allocated. Point of contact for technical and process issues encountered by Financial Sales Consultants on internal systems, including follow up investigations on issues where required. Managing hardware stock for the Life Sales Department to ensure sufficient stock is kept of laptops and accessories. Ordering extra hardware as and when required. Provide user training to new Life Sales recruits on in-house systems. Liaise with the BCM (Business continuity Management) team to manage related issues and to ensure regular off-site DR testing is complete on schedule for the Life Sales Department. Co-ordinate all regular patch testing for Life Sales as required by GWLE. Manage monthly engagements with 3rd parties, particularly I.T. support and Life Services. Manage the recording and prioritisation of I.T. bugs and fixes, and communications around same Maintain the accuracy and currency of user manuals within the Life Division, particularly sales software user manuals, the operational support user manual and the sales software configurations manual. To comply with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role. To maintain commercial awareness relevant to this role. Skills & Knowledge Required Evidence of good analytical and evaluative skills Demonstrated interest in systems improvement/change management/data analysis Good communication, presentation and influencing skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to build effective internal and external relationships Can present written/verbal information in a clear and concise manner Ability to adapt to tasks in a busy fast paced environment MS Office experience including Excel and PowerPoint Interest in/knowledge of the Life & Pensions Sector is preferable Knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment.
