Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) Flood Damage Assessment Officers An amazing opportunity exists for a suitably experienced individual to join Council on a casual basis. Through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements 2018 (DRFA), the Australian Government provides financial assistance to assist Councils with costs associated with certain disaster relief and recovery assistance measures. The objective of this position is to identify any road pavement damage and defects to rural road networks (primarily gravel roads) caused by major weather events. This is conducted by assessing photographs and video footage of Cook Shire Council's road networks. This position will report to the Project Coordinator - DRFA Works. We are seeking someone who: is professional and efficient in their approach to both internal and external customers; is suitably experienced in roads construction and maintenance activities; is computer literate; is proactive toward work health and safety; is positive and team orientated.
