The Job… This position will be an identified high performer operations position. This individual will be immersed in the day to day running of the business to be able to understand how we operate and what makes our business successful. They will work closely with the operations manager and their other team members, assist with driver relations and handle customer service issues. We will provide: · Opportunities for future growth and advancement within the company · Team-oriented atmosphere · Fast-paced and engaging environment · On-site training and continuous professional development · Comprehensive benefits · Ongoing health and safety training programs Key Responsibilities: · Maximize equipment utilization and efficiency · Work hand-in-hand with our customers to manage and organize their freight requirements, determine details of the load, and meet deadlines · Complete daily follow ups with customers · Be a liaison between drivers and other groups (Maintenance, Billing, Safety etc.) · Assist in establishing goals and business plans · Ensure compliance with Contrans Flatbed’s safety requirements, as well as provincial regulations, rules and laws Skills and Qualifications: · Strong management and interpersonal skills · Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively · Superior decision-making, problem-solving and conflict management skills Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Experience: transportation: 1 year (Preferred)
