Engineering Technician, Global Track & Trace Contract Pharmaceuticals Limited is a contract manufacturer and packager of prescription and over the counter pharmaceutical products. To provide technical support regarding the operation of the serialization and aggregation systems at CPL to ensure activities carried out by CPL are executed in compliance to USDSCSA, EU FMD, and other international Track & Trace regulations. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures: properly uses personal protection and safety equipment as required by CPL; reports any injury or illness immediately and notifies CPL of any hazards, unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace. Support the day-to-day operation of all Global Track & Trace functions at CPL, including serialization, aggregation, and lot-level traceability. Utilize the TraceLink Life Sciences Cloud to onboard new customers and products; liaise with customers to establish connectivity between CPL and customers’ serialization repositories. Utilize the Optel Open SiteMaster to maintain master data and to maintain connectivity between TraceLink and CPL’s line level packaging equipment. Configure the Optel LineMasters and PharmaProofs to ensure that serialized information is printed on the packaging lines accurately and with a high degree of quality. Troubleshoot with third-party vendors any operational upsets as they occur relating to the serialization systems at CPL. Coordinate and execute end-to-end serialization testing with customers as part of new product onboarding activities. Manage the migration of data from the development environments to the production environments for the serialization systems. Maintain the ongoing qualification/validation status of the serialization systems at CPL. Remain abreast of evolving FDA and international regulations as they pertain to serialization, aggregation and lot-level traceability requirements in the pharmaceutical industry. Contribute to capital projects including project analysis, planning, design, sourcing, ordering, and implementation of serialization and aggregation upgrades in response to evolving regulatory and business requirements from the supply chain. Manage customers’ serialization repositories that are contracted out to CPL to maintain. Access data for unplanned events, such as recalls, product complaints, or product tracing inquiries from the supply chain. Provide Engineering support as required to facilitate equipment continuous improvement activities, improve plant-wide OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and establish equipment Best Practices. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS · B.Sc. degree in Science, Engineering, or Business-related discipline with a minimum of 2 years experience in a regulated production environment. – Professional Engineer accreditation is a plus. Flexible to learn new software and line-level equipment quickly. Excellent problem solving skills to address complex issues that may span multiple interrelated systems. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills required to communicate with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams on a daily basis. Highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable working independently and with minimal supervision. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
